Yesterday I was riding my bike (there's a shocker).
I was near the end of my loop heading for home.
As I turn to descend there is a gentleman wearing my team jersey mixed with my club's kit.
I don't recognize him, maybe he's more of a roadie, or a lower Cat, but I greet him warmly as is my custom.
He looks at me as if I have two heads.
Normally this wouldn't surprise me as some people just are not very outgoing when they are riding their bikes.
Some people don't even seem like they are having any fun when they are riding (that's just wrong!).
But we were wearing the same jersey.
Weird.

That is a shame. If I encounter someone with my team jersey, it is like we are long lost brothers and sisters, brothers from the same mother. Just being able to wear the same jersey brings instant respect. I hope you schooled him.
Word Verification = needs newteam!
That is weird. Maybe the jersey wasn't his?
My work has a cycling club and last year I convinced the hospital to get us jerseys with the logo. I figured they would get some advertising and I would get free cycling clothes. Anyway, it worked. Anytime I see someone in one of our jerseys, I always wave and say hi, and they do the same. There was only once that I didn't get a very positive response; I was doing a double century and I had just finished climbing a huge hill. At the top, I saw a gal I didn't know wearing our jersey. Now I had trained hills like mad, so I cheerfully said hello, and then made some sort of friendly comment. She in turn just glared at me, completely red in the face and dripping with sweat. Whoops... I don't think she was in the mood for me, no matter who the hell I was. lol
